Our Auburn Scholarship Recipient Scout Reed

Over the last year the members of the Atlanta KC Foundation board have been researching Vet schools as possible recipients of our Annual scholarships that we give in memory of a number of our outstanding deceased members.

Last year we began speaking with the people at Auburn and were invited to come over an tour their facilities and hear about their various programs.  We accepted their invitation and we were SO impressed.

One of their programs is their summer study program where students get scholarships to do and report on a program that they are interested in Pursuing.  The focus is on various stages of reproductive health.  We offered a scholarship and were invited to attend our student’s
presentation. 

Four of us were able to attend and her research was centered on Canine Low Dose Testosterone Therapy designed to help older male dogs to maintain a higher energy level and an overall better quality of life.  It helps with arthritis, muscle weakness and helps with recovery after
a orthopedic injury.
